The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) has proposed further restrictions on the fungicide, carbendazim, and the insecticide, carbaryl, following the conclusion of lengthy reviews. "I'm pleased we've finalised a number of remaining elements for the reviews and can now provide certainty for users of these chemicals," says the APVMA's pesticides programme manager, Dr Raj Bhula.
