China's pesticide industry raised output by 24.4% to a value of some Yuan 244,000 million ($38,755 million at the current rate) in 2012 compared with the previous year, reports the country's National Development and Reform Commission. The Commission, responsible for managing China's economy, makes special mention of the output growth for the pesticide sector outpacing that of the petrochemical sector by 11.5 percentage points.
