The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) . proposes to phase out the use of all products based on the herbicide, linuron, because of unacceptable risks to human health and the environment. Risk concerns were identified from all areas of the health risk assessment and a large and refined data set addressing all issues would be needed to potentially revise the assessment, the PMRA points out.
