ChemChina subsidiary Makhteshim-Agan Industries (MAI) and Australian dendrimer molecular technology company Starpharma (Melbourne) have agreed a collaboration programme to develop crop protection formulations for MAI's product portfolio using Starpharma's Priostar dendrimer technology. The deal includes the development of new formulations of a number of active ingredients, including three ais, each with global sales exceeding $400 million in 2011, MAI says. The company recorded crop protection sales growth of 5.8% to $2,649 million in 2012 (see this issue, p 5).
