Sales of agrochemicals in Japan amounted to ￥328,353 million ($3,517 million at the current rate) during the 2008 pesticide year ending September 30th. This marked an increase of 4.1% on the previous year, according to Japan Crop Protection Association figures, reported in Japan Chemical Week. The total volume of shipments reached 220,621 tonnes, showing growth of 1.9% over the previous year.
