US manufacturers of three organophosphate insecticides have filed a petition with the EPA calling for more transparent procedures in the establishment of use restrictions under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). Dow AgroSciences, Cheminova and Makhteshim-Agan Industries have asked the Agency to solicit public input rather than amend pesticide labels unilaterally.
