Makhteshim-Agan Industries (MAI) posted a 1.5% rise in agrochemical sales in the fourth quarter of 2010 compared with the same period the previous year. Revenues inched up to $456.6 million. Volumes rose by 8%, while prices fell by 5%. However, towards the end of last year prices stabilised and there are signs of upward pressure at least in South America, the company notes. The year was one of "significant achievements" with restructuring in Brazil and the company's domestic market in Israel, as well as an "enhanced" presence in Asia.
