Pesticides are among the most sought after items in robberies of lorries in Argentina, the national news agency, Infobae, reports. Such thefts rose by 30% in the country in 2008 to an average of 220 monthly incidents. Some $150 million of merchandise was lost during the year. Thieves target certain products, among them pesticides, Buenos Aires law agency chief, Juan Jose Maraggi, reportedly says. "The most sought after merchandise are pesticides and household electrics," he claims.
