The US biopesticide company,Pasteuria Bioscience(Alachua,Florida),has raised 750,000 from investment firms to fund the scale-up of production processes for a Pasteuria penetrans-based bionematicide.The company plans to start field-testing the product this spring on crops such as tomatoes,peanuts and cucumbers.It hopes to commercialise the bionematicide in late 2005,subject to EPA approval.
