The US and Canadian pesticide registration authorities have issued joint guidance on the data requirements that meet NAFTA standards for establishing import tolerances/maximum residue limits(MRLs).The project initially involved the US,Canada and Mexico,but new regulations and resource constraints in Mexico mean that it is currently a bilateral effort.Proposed guidance was originally issued in 2003(Agrow No 423,p 14).
