Ilike to believe that my students keep me young, they make sure that I know all the new music, new "hip" words, and how to use the new social media platforms. One day I was talking to a few students in my classroom about something that I saw on Face-book and they proceeded to tell me that Facebook was for "old" people. I was in disbelief...I love Facebook. Facebook was my chosen platform for keeping up with family members, friends, and news... .and I could not be "old." With a plethora of social media outlets at our fingertips, I think each has its own place in the world. If you want to write a novel about your beliefs you go to Facebook, if you want to share a quick picture you go to snapchat, and if you want to show off your #Mod-elStatus at thatswank restaurant and add a description you go with Instagram. We realized that our high school students had many social media options and we needed to choose one to reach them.
