Japanese major Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corp (NSSMC) is to install a state-of-art caster toreplace three continuous casters which will cease operating at its Yawata works in Fukuoka prefecture,western Japan. The development marks a rejig of its current business plan which envisaged just one caster beingpermanently idled (CRU Views - Steel, 4 March 2015).
