摘要

The data on residual quantities of pesticides and xenobiotics in agroecosystem soils were summarized. The urgency of bioremediation of agricultural soils polluted with these compounds was demonstrated. The peculiarities of arable soil bioremediation were considered; the special role of plant—microbe interrelations was emphasized. The advantages of endophytes compared to soil and rhizospheric bacteria were assessed. The applications of genetically modified endophytic bacteria with improved propertiesuseful for phytoremediation were exemplified. Various environmental risks and ways of their reduction are discussed.
