Talk of tariffs and trade wars is wearying at best, but it's likely to get worse before it gets better. Latest in the limelight at press time (August 15) is a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) member and longtime U.S. trading partner, Turkey. Tit-for-tat saber-rattling by President Trump and his Turkish counterpart, Re-cep Tayyip Erdogan, reportedly is offset by work behind the scenes as both country's diplomats try to keep the fallout to a minimum.
