Uruguay - September saw Uruguay's national transport director, Felipe Martin, announce the government had implemented a new training programme for truck drivers to learn how to drive road-train combinations comprising a tractor unit and two semi-trailers - in South America this is called a bitren and elsewhere a B-train or B-double - while a tractor unit and three semi-trailers is referred as a tritren.
