Primary U.S. propane/propylene stocks fell 3.4 MMbbl the week ended Nov. 1.5, according to the Energy Information Administrations (EIA) This Week in Petroleum report. The 3.5% decline pushed inventories down to 94.2 MMbbl, a level that was nonetheless 5.8 MMbbl, or 6.6%, greater than the most recent five-year average for the same time of year; 12.4 MMbbl, or 1.5.2%, higher than last year; and 20.5 MMbbl, or 27.8%, above two years ago. Gulf Coast volumes dropped 2.5 MMbbl and the Midwest 1.5 MMbbl. The East Coast gained 500,000 bbl and the combined Rocky Mountain/West Coast region, while rising slightly, remained essentially unchanged week over week. Propylene non-fuel-use inventories represented 5.4% of total stocks, up from 4.9% the previous week. EIA reported the nation ended the week with 75.6 days of propane supply, down from 80.2 days a week earlier but advancing from 64,3 days a year ago.
