C-H perfluorobutylation of bislactam dyes

摘要

A series of mono-perfluorobutylated and di-perfluorobutylated bislactam dyes have been synthesized using a C-H functionalization. Single crystal analysis shows that the intermolecular fluorophobic interaction induce unique self-organized architectures by the perfluorobutyl chain on the core of the bislactam dye. Their opto-electronic properties have been investigated, and increased electron affinities are observed for these perfluorobutylated bislactam dyes.
