摘要

Various heuristic optimization methods inspired by biological species have been developed in the recent years. Most of these techniques are inspired by swarm behaviours in nature. In this paper, Grey wolf optimization method based on the search agents is used to optimize the objective function and for designing SSSC for power system. The proposed method is compared with the existing heuristic methods. The results confirm the high performance of the proposed method in tuning of SSSC compared with genetic algorithm, bacterial foraging and other techniques. The results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme in improving the power systems stability for various loading conditions.
