African Petroleum (AP) is trying to swap its drilling commitment in its acreage off Liberia where it has already completed three wells for new seismic and looks to be delaying wells off Cote d'lvoire as it continues its search for new partners. Off Liberia, it is operator of Blocks LB-08 and LB-09 where it has drilled three wells and uncovered oil but also complex geology. None of the wells was drilled in LB-08 and there is a commitment for two by next June. AP is trying to commute some of this to new 3D seismic and also defer the drilling.
