摘要

Many cellular and developmental processes are known to be regulated at the post-transcriptional level and a large number of RNA-binding regulatory proteins share a consensus RNA-recognition motif (RRM). Among RRM-containing proteins, hunjan TIA-1 andTIAR have been identified as nucleolytic components in cytotoxic T-lymphocytes and various mammalian cultured cells (Tian et al., 1991; Kawakami et al., 1992). TIA-1 and TIAR are implicated in the process of apoptosis that the introduction of these two proteins into permeabilized thymocytes results in the fragmentation of genomic DNA into nucleosome-sized oligomers (Tian et al., 1991; Kawakami et al., 1992)
