Somehow, more often than we would like to admit, we tend to take life for granted. We forget how easily years pass by, and the fact that being young is not exactly a never-ending story. Geriatric Psychiatry Basics is an "aide memoire" to late-life development that presents knowledge of the biological processes that govern human ageing, common medical illnesses and the neurobiology of degenerative disorders, characteristic of older age. Aimed at both specialized and non-specialized practitioners, this is an excellent guide on geriatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment, psychotherapeutic tools and knowledge of healthcare policies.
