Let's talk about how last-minute tax law changes will affect many nurseries, garden centers and landscaping businesses - and their owners. On Oct. 3, Congress passed - and 90 minutes later the president signed into law - a historic financial markets rescue bill called the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008. Although the new law's primary purpose is to solve the credit crunch in the financial markets, it also serves as one of the largest tax bills in recent years.
