摘要

The lectotype is designated for Justicia anfractuosa C. B. Clarke (Acanthaceae), a rare endemic species from Northeast India.Justicia L. is the largest genus in the Acanthaceae (Graham 1988). This pantropical genus comprises about 700 species in the world (Mabberley 2017) and is represented by 56 taxa in India, of which18 are endemic to the country (Karthikeyan et al.2009). Justicia anfractuosa C. B. Clarke is endemic to Manipur (Senapati district) and Nagaland (Kohima) in India. Recently this rare and interesting species has been recollected from Manipur120 years after the type collection (Gogoi and Mao 2012). During the enumeration of endemic angiosperms of India (Singh et al. 2015), it was found that J. anfractuosa C. B. Clarke needs to be lectotypified.
