The results of morphological investigations of fruits ("nutlets") of 6 species of the genus Betonica [Stachys] and 34 species of the genus Stachys (sect. Eriostachys, Calostachys, Stachyotypus) are presented. The fruits of all species are described.Those of Betonica and Stachys differ in the shape and structure of their apex. Within Stachys sections, differences in morphological characters are indistinct.
