摘要

307 species of vascular plants in north Norway (0-1000 m altitude) were investigated by laying altitudinal profiles. Eleven altitudinal-plant community groups were recognized: plants of fiord-coasts and adjacent parts of the forest belt (51 species;0-100 m); plants of the forest belt (29 species; (0) 100-300 m); plants of the woody belt (including the crooked-stem birch [Betula] forests) (34 species; 0-400 (500) m); plants of woods, ascending to the high mountains (38 species; 0-700 (900) m); high-mountain ubiquitous species (10 species; 0-1000 m); plants characteristic of the timber-line (39 species; (100) 300-400 (900) m); plants of the alpine-tundra belt, descending to the woods (21 species; (100) 200-1000) m; plants of the tundra belt, descending to the fiord-coasts (7 species; 0-100 m; 300 (400)-700 (900) m); plants of the alpine-tundra belt (42 species; (300) 400-900 (1000) m); plants of the alpine deserts, descending to the lower belts (22 species; 400-1000 m); plants of the alpine-desertbelt (14 species; (700) 1000-1000 m). The altitude-plant community groups and their distribution along the profile were considered very similar in north Norway and the Hibiny Mountains in Russia.
