摘要

The volume dispersion of a voltammetric measurement cell with a radial eluant flow around the working electrode designed for microscale high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is studied. The detector signal is studied the volumetric elution rate and as a function of the distance between the working and auxiliary electrodes. For elution rates lower than 4.4 #mu#L/min, the electrochemical conversion coefficient is 100%. For a distance of 20 #mu#m, the dispersion is 0.004 #mu#L~2. The dynamic range spans no less than four orders of magnitude, and the detection limit of noradrenaline is 2 fmol. The advantages of microscale HPLC with the electrochemical detector proposed are discussed. It is shown that the detector can be used in clinical and biochemical tests for the quantitative determination of catecholamines and amino acids in body fluids.
