Experimental results for the transient response of a single oscillator, for two magnetically coupled oscillators, and for oscillations about the center of mass of an isolated system are presented. The apparatus is easy to build. The data for the response and for the forcing term are acquired in a simple way, and allow accurate analysis and comparison with theory.
