摘要

In this study, the STAAD.Pro is used to discuss the effects of height on various Venlo type greenhouse in Taiwan. These results can provide good reference to the planters and greenhouse manufacturers. For the structural strength and the steel cost, increasing 1 meter of the greenhouse height would increase 10.6% of the steel cost and decrease 2~7 m/s of the greenhouse wind resistance. Improving the wind resistance of the higher greenhouse as the lower greenhouse could increase 18.2% of the steel cost, and improving the wind resistance of the higher greenhouse to 50 m/s would increase 38.1% of the steel cost.
