摘要

Blue emitting Eu{sup}(2+) doped CaAl{sub}2O{sub}4 phosphor thin films were prepared by using pulsed laser deposition technique and post-annealing. As-grown films were amorphos and showed weak red photoluminescence (PL) due to the trivalent Eu ion. By annealing in reducing atmosphere (N{sub}2/H{sub}2:2% mixed gas) at 950 °C for 2 hours, the film was crystalized and showed the PL emission band peaking at about 447nm, which is originated from the 4f{sup}6 5d to 4f{sup}7 transition of the divalent Eu ion. Since the PL intensity and the crystallinity of the CaAl{sub}2O{sub}4:Eu{sup}(2+) thin films varied with the deposition conditions, the deposition parameters of PLD method for the CaAl{sub}2O{sub}4:Eu{sup}(2+) thin films were examined.
