摘要

A heavy rainstorm caused by Typhoon No.12 affected a large area in early September 2011. After the disaster occurred, some villages were isolated owing to the disruption of transportation and information. This study presents residents' activities and response problems in an isolated area. The research area is Kumanogawa district of Shinguu City, which was isolated for a certain period after the disaster occurred. Through a material data analysis, hearing survey, and questionnaire survey, an overview of isolated area issues is pictured. The result shows that residents' activities can be categorized as "assistance activities for emergency care, persons with chronic disease, and nursing care," and "continuation of life into their village." On the basis of these results, various issues of isolated villages and their response measures are examined.
