We recently attended the AAGBI's Annual Congress in Dublin. While browsing the posters on display, we noted that many whose contents were described as 'audit' did not meet our assumed definition of the term. We therefore decided to investigate this in more detail by examining the Audit and Survey poster section of the abstract booklet [1] after the end of the Congress.

7. Using a unique dataset of joint-stock companies, we explore the corporate audit system in transition Russia.
