Kitui an d Machakos Districts in Kenya are well known for their large production of mangos which are produced from very old trees from mainly local varieties. Small farmers women's groups recently have started to dry mangos by utilizing locally produced solar dryers. Will these dried fruit products derived from organic production without or with only low external input, be accepted for certification to be exported to the European markets?
