The German agrochemical industry association, the IVA, has criticised the plan of the federal Environment Ministry, the BMU, to only provide approval for agrochemicals from January 1st 2020 on the condition that farmers using them keep 10% of their arable land as “pesticide-free biodiversity areas”.
