Crude futures fell again on Wednesday, extending the downward trend that has been in place for the last couple of weeks amid concerns about oversupply in the Atlantic Basin. Oil prices have tried to move higher a few times in the last few sessions, but recent data has shown supply running ahead of demand and geopolitical worries have retreated to the background after pushing prices higher earlier this summer. In New York, September Nymex WTI crude futures settled below the $97 mark for the first time since May, closing at $96.92 per barrel for a loss of 46￠.
