摘要

In today's marketplace, quality plays a key role in gaining competitive advantage for all enterprises. At the same time, present quality management models have shifted their focus to integrating internal quality practices with those of external supply chain partners. Success in the implementation of today's business excellence models depend on the leadership style which is termed as either transformational or transactional. Due to its key role in influencing the success in the implementation of business excellence models, the influence of managers' transformation leadership style on a firm's quality performance from a supply chain perspective is empirically investigated. A conceptual research model is proposed and the key hypothetical links are tested using a structural equation modeling approach. The model is tested using survey data collected from various quality-focused enterprises in Turkey chosen from the Turkish Society for Quality database. From the results, the level of the transformational leadership style of managers has a significant and positive impact on a firm's supply chain quality performance.
