Since the opening of The Eleanor Armstrong Smith Glasshouse in 2003, you have been enraptured by the delightful butterflies on exhibit in the Costa Rica biome. Summer is an especially good time for lepidopterophiles (butterfly lovers) to come to the Garden. The warmer temperatures and sunlight provide the right conditions for the butterflies to become quite active. We know you enjoy our Costa Rican butterflies, and that's why for three months - we're bringing you something completely new. This summer, you can mingle with 20 new species of beautiful, glorious butterflies as part of Flying Jewels oj Africa, a new exhibit coming to the Glasshouse's Madagascar biome This is a unique opportunity to see exclusively African butterflies and moths in a Madagascan setting.
