Total and partner APA have ceased operations early at a well offshore Suriname after encountering high pressures while drilling deeper geologic targets below a recent discovery. APA, the parent company of US-based Apache, said in an update Wednesday that the Keskesi East-1 well “encountered substantial pressure increases” that “could ultimately exceed the capabilities of the wellbore design and pressure control equipment."
