Chihong Zinc & Germanium Co., Ltd. has recently planned to issue 35 million A shares at 19.17 yuan per share to its share-controlling company-Yunnan Metallurgical Group Co., Ltd. to acquire 100 percent right of Zhaotong Lead and Zinc Mine. Some investors are not optimistic about the service life of Zhaotong Mine since it has served for quite a long time. Chihong Zinc & Germanium says that Zhaotong Mine lies in the same metalleogenic belt with Huize Lead and Zinc Mine. In the area covered by the mining license, it is proved to have 1.644 million tonnes of ores bearing some 305,000 tonnes of lead and zinc. Given the current 100,000 Gtpy mining capacity, the mine can serve another 16 years.
