According to sources with knowledge of the matter, the Brazilian state oil company has received an offer for its stake in Argentine PC firm Cia. Mega SA from its partners YPF and Dow Chemical. Petrobras, however, is delaying its acceptance as it wrestles with corruption allegations at home. The investigation is said to be making it difficult for Petrobras to secure credit, and slowing the rate at which the company signs new contracts. None of the three companies were willing to offer any comment or further clarification on why exacdy this transaction had been delayed, however.
