摘要

Utilization of microwave (MW) technology in synthetic chemistry is new, introduced by Gedye et al. [1] in 1986. Although, the early applications are focused on inorganic or simple organic transformations in highly polar solvent systems [2], the first carbohydrate application appeared [3] shortly after the first publication. Heating chemical reactions by microwave energy has become popular in the organic and medicinal chemistry community. Since the first report on MW-assisted syntheses the number of publications has grown enormously, but controlled experimental procedures represent only a small fraction of publications (approx. 25 %) [4].
