Enterocolic lymphocytic phlebitis (ELP) is a rare cause of localized gastrointestinal vasculitis. It usually affects the venous system of the right side of the colon but may involve the small bowel and often presents with acute abdominal symptoms.1 We report two cases of ELP that mimicked both appendicitis and colonic neoplasm.A 54-year-old woman presented with a 2-day history of epigastric pain followed by right iliac fossa pain. Medical history included total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease.
