OSHA is soliciting information on the control of hazardous energy under its Lockout/Tagout standard in two areas where modernizing the standard might better promote worker safety without additional burdens to employers: control circuit type devices and robotics. The goal of the standard is to protect workers from the dangers of hazardous energy. The request for information (RFI) was scheduled for publication in the Federal Register on May 20.
