Under a final rule released by the DOL’s Wage and Hour Division, the agency’s regulations under the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act (MSPA), the Immigration and Nationality Act’s H-2A provisions, the FLSA, and the Employee Polygraph Protection Act (EPPA) are revised to permit payment of civil money penalties (CMPs) through an electronic payment alternative. The regulations also are amended to ensure uniform payment instructions, according to the notice scheduled for publication in the Federal Register November 7.
