The 5 percent of export tariff on aluminum alloys(Customs code 7601.2000) was removed on July 1 this year and now the interim export tariff is settled at zero. The removal of export tariff has caused a change in operation of aluminum alloys producers in recent two months. Shanghai Sigma Nonferrous Metals Co., the largest producer of secondary aluminum in China, said that although the export tariff has been abolished for one month, the company needs some time to recover its exports, Over the past few months, some clients have signed contracts with other countries' aluminum alloys producers, such as Russia and some southeast Asian countries. So, the company is now gradually reestablishing relationship with its former clients.
