In this study, production of Sc-47 radionuclide by irradiating the natural titanium dioxide powder (TiO2) in the fast neutron flux (similar to 3*10(13) n cm(-2) s(-1)) for 4 days in Tehran Research Reactor (TRR, Iran) and separation from titanium target was investigated. The study showed the feasibility of production Sc-47 by TRR. The separation efficiency and radiochemical purity (ScCl3) of radio-scandium, Sc-47 radionuclide purity were obtained 98%, 99% and 88% respectively.
