摘要

Because of the growing need for intense sources, that produce neutrons with energies above 10MeV, which are required for studying energetic neutron effects on structural materials, several laboratories are equipped with accelerator devices. These devices are based on the deuterium-tritium fusion reaction which produces a high flux of monoenergetic neutrons (Csikai, 1987). Unfortunately, the ion beam is narrow enough to produce quasi-punctual neutron source which cannot simulate adequately the neutrons escaping from the fusion plasma in a thermonuclear reactor. Frigerio, (1971), Perry el al., (1985) and Kobayashi et al., (1988), proposed the use of enriched lithium-deuteride(~6LiD) samples in conjunction with reactor neutrons as an alternative flat source of 14MeV neutrons.
