Galiano and Rodrigues (2006) published a paper in which different analytical methods for determining the solid angle of a circular coaxial source-detector system are compared. Unfortunately, the content of this paper is open to criticism, as it does not appear to be abreast of our current knowledge in the field, contains questionable statements and a number of errors. Without claiming a complete review, some weaknesses and errors in the aforementioned work (referred to as the G-R paper) are listed here.
