Obviously, I love a good auction. And while covering the used equipment market for 22 V2 years, I've seen my share of good auctions. It's the simple process of putting a piece of equipment up for sale and seeing what it's worth. One of the better auctions I've been to recently was in northeast Iowa. This auction proved to be emblematic of what I have observed throughout the first four months of 2012: rising values on good used equipment. The sale day was March 31, and there was hot bidding on a wide variety of used equipment in very good condition. Below, I've included a table of the sale price report from this auction. I've highlighted in red a few notable items, the specifications and sale prices.
