BT Group (www.bt.com/betterword), the Co-operative Bank (www.co-operativebank.co.uk), and Shell International (www.shell.com) are sharing the award for the best sustainability report for 2001 from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in the UK. Risk and Policy Analysts (www.rpaltd.co.uk), a firm with 10 employees, received commendation for having an impressive, first-attempt sustainability report for all "readers and preparers to learn from." The Co-operative Bank and Shell jointly held top honors for the best environmental report last year. This, the 11th anniversary of the contest, is the first time ACCA restructured the program to award winners in sustainability reporting (for the disclosure of economic, environmental, and social impacts), and in two other distinct categories: environmental and social performance reports.
