According to data from the Riyadh-based Joint Organizations Data Initiative (JODI), Saudi Arabia exported 7.72MM b/d in Nov., up from 7.364MM b/d the month before and the highest since April. According to Amrita Sen, chief oil market analyst at Energy Aspects, the increase is not surprising. 'This is exactly what they've been doing for the last year and a bit, whenever there is demand for their crude they will export.. .you would expect to see refinery buying in Nov. ahead of their return in Dec.' She added that increasing volumes of Saudi crude would likely be heading for Europe in the near future. 'The Mediterranean we think is going to be the new batde ground among Saudi, Iran and Iraq, which is why Saudi is focusing on Europe ahead of Iran's return.'
